Who is behind Omra Ramadan?

Wiki Tours International, a travel agency based in Casablanca. The agency organises trips, Umrah journeys among them, and it funds and publishes this site. Its name appears at the foot of every page.

What question does the site answer?

Just one: when to go. Omra Ramadan brings together what a family needs to place an Umrah within Ramadan, travelling from Morocco:

• the expected start of the month in Saudi Arabia and in Morocco, with the status of each date;
• the official milestones that open and close the Umrah season;
• the right order for booking the hotel, applying and travelling;
• the trade-offs between the start of the month, the middle and the last ten nights;
• the figures that have been published about Ramadan Umrah from Morocco, with their limits.

We write first for families, and often for the son or daughter organising a parent's trip, including Moroccans who live abroad. That is why every page opens with a short answer, relies on tables and stays easy to read at a large text size.

What will the site not do?

• Publish prices or compare agencies.
• Give religious rulings. For fasting while travelling or the rites themselves, a trusted imam or scholar is the right person to ask.
• Reproduce religious texts, as long as no qualified person has approved a body of texts.
• Present an estimated date as a confirmed one.
• Use anxiety to push a booking: the only cut-off date we highlight is the one set by the authorities.

Flights, heat, health, travel documents and prices are covered by other sites of the network, each on its own subject.

How is the calendar kept current?

Every date comes from a facts register. An item enters it only with its source, the date the source was read and a date by which it has to be checked again. Dates worked out in advance, such as the start of the month, stay marked as estimates until the official announcement.

Pages are drafted with the help of an AI tool, from that register only, then run through automated checks before they go live. No person is presented as the author: the organisation signs. The details are on the page about how we work.
